Hey everyone, we know it’s been quite some time now since our last blog post. We’re sorry about that but we have been quite busy. Without further ado, here’s a recap of what we’ve been doing and what is coming up for Light Fall in the near future.
Firstly, we moved around and got ourselves a new place to work. We had a blast with our friends from Parabole at their studio and are thankful they helped us out back then, alas it was time for us to move on as a young adult eventually leaves the family home (cheesy I know).
To be fair though, our new place is basically 2 streets down Parabole’s studio so we still see them often. Here are a few pictures of what our workspace looks like now.
Time is money couldn’t be more true
The saying ‘Time is money’ takes its true meaning when you are an entrepreneur. This is another reason why we haven’t been posting as much recently. We’ve been using our time to try and get money, literally. Finding some sort of financial aid for our studio has been a long and tiring task. Alot of meetings, alot of paperwork (we actually felt so bad that we started to apologize to random trees) and alot of rejections. Still, things are looking good now and while we are not swimming in money, we can now eat 3 times a day! Yay!! (more like 5 but shhhh).
And Light Fall?
And our game in all that? Well, it’s true that our pace has slowed down quite a bit in the past months because of the reasons mentioned above. Do not despair though, as a playable beta is set to launch in mid/late October. We haven’t decided yet who will play, how many testers we will need, etc.
We’ve also developed some new cool gameplay mechanics that I’m sure you will all like, added some more depth to our universe, set the guidelines of our story, etc.
Sure thing is we will start posting more content again, be it in-game screenshots, concept art, sketches, videos, etc.
