Quick update: March, a turning point for Light Fall

Hello folks!

Ben here with a quick update on our recent activities and what we’re up to. As you can probably guess, the “aftermath” following PAX South was quite huge for a team of three guys. Alot of emails, several interviews, more emails, sending out the build to streamers, etc. We can’t really complain though, it’s a nice problem to have.

Right now we are working on several things that will all come to life in March. This will probably the most important month of our studio’s history. A real turning point.

PAX East

Just as we arrived from PAX South, we must already plan our next big event, this time in Boston. PAX East is supposed to be two to three times bigger than South was. So that means more gaming stations, more shirts, more stuff, more everything! Planning these things take time. We will also be accompanied by a new member of the team for the PAX East.

We were completely exhausted at the end of PAX South and if the crowd is supposed to be three times bigger, we will need another guy at the booth. Please welcome Alex Nastev on board, his expertise, personality and talent will help us make PAX East a success.

Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight

Right after PAX East, we will launch two campaigns that will impact greatly the future of Light Fall and Bishop Games: Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight.

As you probably know, being on Steam is almost a must if your game is to be successful. While being on Steam doesn’t mean you will make money or have a successful game, it’s pretty hard to do either while not being on Steam.

There’s also Kickstarter. Making a game requires money, duhhhh. You might roll your eyes and think “well obviously”, but honestly it requires alot of money. There are so many things that we didn’t know we would have to pay for when we started. Because you’re not simply making a game, at this point you’re also running a business.

Anyways, right now we are building up this Kickstarter campaign, we’re not sure what our goal will be yet. We just want to make Light Fall the way we imagined it at first. We’re also creating cool rewards for our backers, definitely keep an eye out for that. If you like the game and the studio, it will be the perfect opportunity to show your support. We will be sending an update when both campaigns launch.

Have a sneak peek at our Light Fall shirts for the upcomin PAX East

While this is not the final version, we are thinking of making a new design for the East. We really like our Bishop Games shirts but we feel Light Fall, the game itself, needs one too!

Have a look at it and tell us what you think! It features Stryx, the game’s narrator and the player’s sidekick throughout his journey. We know you’re grumpy Stryx, but we love you anyways xxx!

Stryx calmly watching you fail and silently judging you. Nothing new here for the old guy.

That’s it for now, thanks again for the support and stay tuned for updates!
Peace out.
